Paul Gerber Watches
We haven’t seen our heard much from Paul lately — I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s partially retired (I am, and he’s a bit older than me).

was instrumental in the creation of the MIH, the initial models of Ochs & Jr, and of course a line of his own watches - most with dual or triple rotors. Plus clocks!
I’m wearing the PuristSPro 10th anniversary watch which is now 10 years old itself. Only Ten were made and I admit I’ve never seen another on anyone’s wrist.
The triple rotor winding system is intriguing and functional but was made for charm, not to be the most efficient system on the planet.
You can get a similar watch, the Model 42, directly from Gerber dealers. Or order something custom…

Gerber always seemed like he made 'fun' watches...nothing stuffy.

Another way of thinking, and go for something unusual is very unique.

I've got a Retro twin in WG tucked away at the bank. Also, recently sold my MIH.
His talent seems pretty exceptional.
Have always appreciated the design of the Purists engraving on the dial ever since I discovered this watch

He has a handful of watches left to produce. To my knowledge 30 or so Model 42s and at least 4 Model 41s.

I could use some of those applied numerals to cover the disintegrating lume on my P10!

I don't think it would make sense
He made a number of them as there was an issue with the reflectivity and the coating on the dial.
If he's like most watchmakers he has a few in the back of his dial drawer...

Eureka! I found it
The case, papers, polish cloth, salmon strap, etc.
If I remember correctly, the dials were cut and then treated to reduce future corrosion. The first set were too dark for Paul's taste, so he made another 10 and treated them in a different technique which retained the sparkling look of the freshly-cut dial. Rather than toss the unimpressive dials, he included them in the package, signed on the back.

I love the PuristsPro PG model.
Sadly I discovered the forum just after this edition was commissioned so never had a chance to acquire one.

I seem to remember first learning about these watches 10 or so years ago when I was getting into the hobby. It’s a shame he isn’t as well recognized as other independents. The double and triple rotors really are fun and creative, efficiency be damned!
