I don’t normally pursue dress watches anymore as my attire lends more towards casual athletic wear. As I am constantly on the move with the kids and I prefer comfort over looks. So I really didn’t see myself adding another dress piece. However, MJ’s pic of the MG hamatic vintage changed all that. I remember falling in love with their tourbillion back in 2009 and really didn’t think about them again until the hamatic vintage pics starting popping up. Although the watch is all around breathtaking, the movement steals the show for me here with the egg shaped rotor and pendulum. Waiting on a blue strap from MG to dress it down a little to wear with my sweatpants and sweatshirt. I take horrible pics so I apologize in advance but the watch really is a show stopper as MJ’s pics have shown. Also wanted to say thanks to my AD for snagging the last one of this edition for me🙏
Thus, I think it's best to think of it as a manual that winds itself. Rotor is almost non-existent. It will take some getting used to, but I can live with that.
Very envious that you got the last one! The hamatic is on my list for my next purchase and this is my favorite edition. Although my timeline was more like 2 years out so I fully expected it to sell out before I got to it 😊. Glad to see the last one go to someone on this forum! It's gorgeous!
There will be others it's just the silver plated by friction is done and I love the vintage look of the silver plated dial.

They were sold out shortly after being announced. I was just fortunate enough that a European collector backed out of his order. Thus allowing me to lock it in with my AD. It just happened to work out beautifully. You won't be disappointed when you do get one.
Thanks Nico, one of the most interesting when it comes to automatics. I was contemplating on adding a Breguet just to have it's inspiration in the colection.
Great catch and while like you my work attire is moving toward more casual I find myself liking dress watch with casual wear, both for work or home or leisure!

Thanks, it’s just tough for me to make that switch.

I’ve always tried to coordinate my outfits and watches. So naturally I’ve gravitated towards more casual vs dress. But certain dress pieces you just cannot deny. Maybe this piece changes that for me😉
