Have been very impressed with De Bethune finishing and quality. This DB28 XP(extra flat) model is no exception. It is very comfortable on the wrist due to its thinness and light weight. The hands and dial are also a constant source of distraction for me.

The lug is their medium size. They got rid of the long and short and settle with medium as a standard.

I found out only because I asked for a short one. I wish they still offer the short one.
I think the DB28 would have caught on a lot sooner if they had started with the medium or short length
The first time I tried a DB28 was with the long (standard) lugs and while it fit comfortably, the look was dramatic for sure but too spidery and delicate for me. The medium sold me but now after living with them for a while I could see how the original long lugs might have served the best functionally as a suspension for the strap.
That is, the lugs rather than hugging the wrist need to have some spread off the wrist to effectively serve as lever arms for strap tension. The shorter the lug, the less articulation available at which point, just make it a db25?

Fantastic watch!! was able to wear one of these and it was a magical exprience! While the pictures do give a sense of the awesomeness of the watch, the shine in person is much brighter!
