Somehow this brand is one of the best looking movements but hasn't enjoy the sudden hype/appreciation like DB lately....auction houses to be blamed.

…how about proliferation of limited editions (including ones closely replicating previous issues), not so much movement innovation (compared to an FPJ for example), unsure succession and longevity beyond the founder, management changes, ownership questions, true level of vertical integration, etc.

Love the dials, the designs and the case shapes. Used to have one too. The maison launched with great promise, but seems to have tapered off.

I like the blue tone of the dial and the combination with the orange hand. For the California dial not so much.
I love the Laurent Ferrier brand and most of their models
but this LF with California dial does not work for me at all.

I feel with a brand like LF, one has to be verrrry careful that every move one makes... to express what the DNA of the brand is... it's such a young brand... it matters... so this dial for me... while every LF dial is beautiful and exquisite... may not be right...? LF needs a definitive dial and case IMO... it is a brand that is like... Journe... without the intense individuality that made Journe what it is... LF has always felt a bit soft to me... stunning and exquisite... yet soft in the DNA/soul department...

I love that case shape, and the hands (the hands!), but I'm not a fan of the Cali dial.
