Ming just launched the 19.02. Wow what a beautiful WorldTimer.

It is no secret that I'm a huge fan of Ming watches. They only celebrated their first anniversary a few months ago and just now they launched the second iteration in the 19 range. This time a World Timer automatic, the 19.02. And what a stunning beauty, faithful to their DNA with the stunning Schwarz-Etienne for MING Cal. ASE220.1 with micro rotor.
I already confirmed my order.

Agree it's a nice brand, with this WT they have again been able to create something original and good looking. Looking forward to seeing more from them! [nt]
I really like this and the 19.01. Whilst it is not cheap, the price is not unreasonable either. I have been tempted to pull the trigger on the 19.01 many times. However, my main concern with small independents is maintenance down the road. I know both the 19.01 and 19.02 uses Schwarz Etienne movements, which helps alleviate that issue somewhat. But these movements are unique to Ming and Schwarz Etienne isnโt exactly a large company either.
What are peopleโsโ thoughts on this matter? With many in the community collecting independents, what are their plans to mitigate future issues with maintenance?
Definitely like how the world timer has been implemented here. Congratulations on your incoming, even if itโs only towards the end of the year ๐๐ป๐๐ป
in this case it looks more like you have taken what you had lying down and picked the parts needed for this caliber instead of making a plate just for this caliber. The feeling is that it is a modified movement which I think feels a little cheap in a price range in which this watch is in.
