Hi everyone,

Since it has been unveiled in 2013, I fell in love (obsessed would be a better word) of the Romain Gauthier Logical One (2013 GPHG Men's Complications watch prize).

If it could financially possible (and after a long waiting time due to the very confidential production of around 40 watches per annum), this watch should be at the top of my wish list (I hope one day it will be a reality).

I already met twice Mr. Romain Gauthier and, each time, I was really impressed by his kindness and availability.

Did you ever met him? What do you think of this brand? And, by chance, if someone here already tried the Logical one, what do you think of this watch?

I have admired his product ever since first laying eyes on the pieces.

As an engineer he has created unique watches with totally in house movements that are robust and beautiful at the same time.

More is his finishing. With Philipe Dufour advising him and being a close friend, Romain's watches are finished to the highest degree. I would put his craftmanship and finish work up against anyone and I do mean anyone.

The Logic One USA phenomenal watch. Technologically the chain is there for a constant force. Originally it was supposed to be all rubies but could not work right so now the links are metal and stone. A unique winding system. A magnificent dial that can be in enamel. It is a great watch and I would recommend it wholeheartedly. Oh yeah, it wears great.

What a shame, I did not know that the initial chain with rubies does not work properly. It was a wonderful idea for sure.

Oh man is this a true grail watch! The winding mechanism is incredible to use, the chain is in full view, the finish is exquisite, and the case is perfectly proportioned. Far from something I could ever afford but I left my AD thinking the retail price was way UNDER what it should be... seriously. I hope you get it one day.

No need to go for a very expensive RG. The " entry level " which is already quite pricey is very satisfactory. 

An early on design, no I hesitated no knowing the growth RG would experience. Kicking myself badly

I absolutely love his work but there is an entry level watch that is reasonable considering the finishing and other aspects of the watch. These include the prestige HMS and the prestige HM. Sure his logical one series is absolutely stunning but I find a beautiful simplicity (pun intended ) of the presitge watch. The winding mechanism in the back is very unique and the finishing is very beautiful. 

Several years ago, RG explained me the mechanism of his "back winder" and I was already convinced of their originality for sure.

I had been looking at a watch by another manufacture who had a fusee chain as its main feature. A limited edition. When I looked at it in comparison with RG's there was no comparison. The finishing of the other watch was pedestrian. At best. The finishing of this watch was no less than superb.

This is a truly unique piece in all respects.
