Masahiro Kikuno - Wa-Dokei Revision, 1st order has been delivered!

Congratulations to Kikuno-san.  Here are the photos of the 1st piece of Wa-Dokei Revision.  As you see, lots of bespoke decoration on the case.  And on the back, the name of this special one-off watch "Gyosho (the morning bell, or the bell at the dawn)".  The inscription was done by another meister who did on the index character as well - Mr. Keiji Kanagawa.  Just take a look of these breathtaking pics.  Next year, he will start making the 2nd one for the collector who has been patiently waiting.  He makes only one per year.  Interested?  Better hurry!  He WILL respond to the inquiry via his website.  A true gentleman, he discusses a lot before accepting orders, but flexible on making some customization like this first one.  Yes, again, he responds to your inquiry and very communicative, which is very important trait of independent watchmakers.  If an independent watchmaker does not respond to your inquiry, how can you trust the watch as there will be no answer from the watchmaker when something happens to the watch and needs immediate attention?  A very nice of him to answer any inquiry and invite me over to his atelier, etc.....  Such a gem and currently the youngest AHCI member, but already very matured attitude toward watchmaking and as a person as well....

Beautiful decoration.....

Inscription done by Mr. Kanagawa....

Bravo, Kikuno-san!
