Glad my suggestion worked.

Which boutique did you go to?

Glad that everything is fine.

Was at the VC boutique in Los Angeles.

Great!

I haven't been inside that one yet, but it only opened earlier this year.

South Coast Plaza Boutique

Honestly, I prefer the South Coast Plaza boutique in Orange County, CA.  They treat you with respect regardless of how you dress or your age.  Beverly Hills was nice but they were a little assuming...

Your Impressions?

Perception is reality, but sometimes, we as the customer can be a bit overly sensitive to the environment.

While I've never patronized the Vacheron Constantin store on Rodeo Drive, I was neither acknowledged nor greeted by an employee of the Vacheron Constantin store in Costa Mesa.  Furthermore, the most ironic part is that the salesperson at VC Costa Mesa was someone I was familiar with from Tourneau Costa Mesa.

No insult perceived, no insult taken by the lack of acknowledgement.  Probably a small loss in professionalism at most.

I think it's important for us to be humble customers as well.  Entitled, boorish, and greedy behavior on the behalf of customers is very annoying for store employees and they see it all the time.  I assure you, the store employees have many more faux pas crimes committed to them by customers, than they do to their customers.

Happy New Year

Thanks for the message.  Agreed, I should just stick with the timepieces and not worry about the environment.  Happy New Years!  And thanks for the advice.  Now I can go into the new year not worrying about my VC Overseas!

Happy New Year To You As Well!

Enjoy your VC watch.

Just some clarification.  We shouldn't not worry about the environment, if there was anyone rude to you and you didn't deserve it, call them out on it.  But otherwise, we shouldn't be overly sensitive about the environment.

Agree 100% with Patrick

No point letting some poor service bother us too much but if really bad, we can simply feedback to the boutique manager or our contacts from the watch companies' HQ.

I used to be very sensitive (not that I complain all the time but my mood gets affected) but after collecting watches for a few years, I feel that boutique service (or lack of) is no point getting too hung up on. Either I ignore and enjoy my watches that I purchase or I give constructive feedback to their offices.

Cheers

Thanks Robin.
