Spring has sprung. It is Watch Week on Madison Avenue in New York. And so, it was time for a road trip.

4Js and I spent the afternoon boutique hopping…

Part 2 (coming soon) : What Transpired During the Evening

Way too much temptation for me!

And it was a revelation for me. I looked at it under the loupe and noticed the texture of the dial, which is not really visible to the naked eye. The execution of the Maltese Cross on the dial is interesting, not to mention the lovely numerals and the lugs, which are also unusual and comfortable for wearing. 4Js did better than good in getting this one, no?

I recently had an excellent regular complete service performed on one of mine, and VC did a superb job (thank you Eduardo at the NY Boutique!), so I have not doubt that they can fix any problems that may arise.

...will be a favorite for many. It is outstanding. It successfully marries beauty and unusual design. It is another model within the Les Historiques line that will continue to taunt me.

...although I acted as if it were while I was in the Boutique. Honestly, I fully expect Andre to ban me from the Boutique one of these days for bad behavior. ;-)

...my posts from here on in are from my prison cell. They caught me just as I was passing across the VC Boutique threshold with the Pt. PT strapped firmly to my wrist. Gray is my mood. Now I have only handcuffs on my wrists. :-( That is the reason for the delay on Part 2.
Truly we saw some fabulous watches in NY. The 1972 is suave, elegant and iconic. Well, you know how I feel about the original issue of this icon from the early 70s. But I have to say it was the Pt. PT with the gray dial that blew me away as soon as I saw it. (If it was overshadowed at all, it could only have been by the Escher Fish watch.) There is something about these gray dials from VC, as you well know having the most special one of the gray dials. I must have one. This dial takes the Patrimony Traditionelle to a new level.
Thanks for looking, buddy.

Nice Robert, thanks for the motivational pictures
How was the 1907 CR on the wrist in terms of comfort and presence? I must also confess a secret admiration for that skeleton AP QP :-0
Cheers,

But a delicious choice, no doubt. I am eager to see which one lands on your wrist.
I am sorry I will miss you once again when you are in NYC. Safe travels this weekend, my friend.
