I have always kept my Overseas on the steel bracelet, which is the best I've ever worn...but I'm also a fan of rubber straps.  Since I had my watch serviced a few months ago, I've become a bit over-cautious about getting scuffs or scratches on the beautiful brushed bracelet.  I figured this would be a nice change of pace and a better option for the summer months.  I had seen how nice the Deep Stream looked on rubber but wasn't sure if this dial would work as well.  Thanks to Bill I went for it and couldn't be happier.

 

I have to say, in real life it looks excellent.  The integrated style really works on this watch and fits perfectly.  The deployant is finished beautifully and the cross design adds a unique touch to the buckle.  Even though it's on a rubber strap, the watch still looks appropriate for most occasions.  The Overseas is so versatile, it's fantastic.

I had a difficult time with the photos, so I hope they are sufficient to give you a clear view.  Thanks for looking!

I like the new look on your Overseas, Chris. Why should the Paneristi have all the fun with strap changes, giving new life to their existing watch?

Both with the photos and the strap change.  I think that strap works great with your white dial Overseas Automatic.  This has to be one of the most versatile watches I can think of. 

I fully agree with you that the strap makes for a nice change (especially for the summer months) and it is a nice enough rubber strap to suit most occasions.  It is a pretty refined rubber strap that does not appear at a quick glance to even be rubber.  VC has done an outstanding job with this strap, IMHO.  I love wearing the Overseas on the rubber strap just about as much as I do the really beautiful bracelet.  Both are very comfortable and look good.

And I'll call on Respo to share a photo of his American Overseas Chronograph, which came with a black rubber strap and has a black dial. I don't recall seeing a standard Overseas with black dial on rubber strap, but it will look great.

Revival of an oldie . . . . where to buy the rubber strap with deployant for a black OS chrono? Where'd you get yours OP?

I just picked up an Overseas chrono on the bracelet, but also have the rubber and croc straps from a previous Overseas that I owned. Does anyone know what size screwdriver it takes to change them yourself? I'm comfortable doing it, but don't want to risk scratching it more than I need to.
