Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin supplies with titanium Quai de l'Ile watch both a black rubber strap and a glossy black crocodile strap. I don't like the look of glossy black partnered with the satin finished grey of the titanium case. However while the rubber strap is nice, I prefer the QDI on a nicely grained crocodile strap, and wanted to share a photo of a combination that I found that well-suits the watch:

A rich chestnut color with a finish between matte and semi-gloss. What do you think?

I dig that combo.

Great look - - but the scan has a pinkish hue to it, thereby enhancing the relationship of the strap to the dial.  How would it look under natural daylight conditions (as if anyone goes out during the day)?  Nevertheless, the watch and strap combination is superb. Robert

I love this.  It is Amazing how a simple strap change can take a high caliber timepiece from blah to rich and very desirable.  This is a perfect example.  The dark composition of the case and dial of this watch can make it a tough look to match with a strap, but if you take a chance with strap color you can really bring the look alive.  Good choice WHL, well done.

I think a matte black crocodile strap would look terrific as well.

I'm not sure why VC like to partner the QDI with shiny croc straps, but it doesn't do the watch any favors.
