Vacheron Constantin

Its one of my favorite sport watches of all time.  Its one of those often forgotten watches from the 70's and 80's.  It rarely gets the attention in watch articles or on forums that say a Royal Oak, Nautilus, or IWC Jumbo SL Ingenuir get, (maybe because it design remained for a shorter period and without any variations or renewed versions), but its so understated and cool looking.  I'd love to add one to my collection someday.  Thanks for sharing photos.

I once owned a Phidias, but was not totally satisfied with it as a sport wear.  Would I be happier if that were a 222 or 333? I was not sure from toher dial or case metal combination variants I've seen. Now I see this, I have to confess that it's veru appealing!

I'd like that OS series got also a grey dial variant.

For a dumb blind old timer, like me, the newer verision "Les Complications" Power Reserve with the every trird day date wheel (1-4-7 etc.) is way too confusing for me. Hell I'm lucky to know what every other day or number is. Additionally, IMHO, the newer RDM model's face is a little to glittzy for a classic VC. As I've said before "watches are like women" and I like simple women. Miki

This is one of the designs of VC that I really like but for some reason have never made my own.

I have been wearing my Cartier Pasha 950 Chronograph.  It has a platinum bezel, charcoal color dial and an F.Piguet 1185 as the base movement.  Doesn't have the gold rotor of as found on the Overseas or the AP RO Chrono, but you can see it through the saphire back.  Maybe tonight I'll wind up one of my VCs for some wrist time.

I don't have a macro shot of the movement yet, but I'll see if I can get some good photos of the movement this weekend.  Believe it or not, my wife has better watch photographing skills than I do so I usually need some assistance from her.

I've never openned my Les Historiques automatic chronograph, which houses also the same base movement. I'll do someday by taking it to a watchmaker. I'm always curious to see the various finish that  this movement has received from several brands ...

is a really good looking watch and one that is not often talked about on the forum.  I haven't seen one in a long time, although I do have a few pictures of them in some old watch reference matterials at home.  I'm not a huge fan of watches with gem stones, but there is also an beautiful picture of one that has saphire baggettes set in the bezel.   I hope to see some pix of your Historique Automatic Chrono soon.  I'll start trying to get some better pix of the Pasha movement soon.
