to offer insights comparing wrist fit between the current Overseas and the 40 mm 1921? I ask because I read how large they both wear and I am considering an Overseas. I have experience with the 1921 giving me a good reference point in the discussion but have never seen an Overseas in person. Thanks for any light shed on this.
Which OS model?
The time-date, small seconds, dual time, PC and chrono all have different case sizes or thickness.

the 4500v time-date model. I had one offered to me a few years ago and passed and now regret it!
I have a 7 in. (18mm) wrist, and here are some pics.
First of all, I have a strong pererence for large watches, none to large for me, including my 47mm Panerai ones.
I don't think that either of these wear particularly large on the wrist or feel uncomfortable or heavy or clumbsy.
In fact, the 4500v at 41mm seems to wear smaller than the Historique American 1921 at 40mm.
It's probably more because of the square vs. round shape. FYI the American 1921 comes in a 36mm case,
which I tried on and it did nothing on my wrist. You might be referring to another 1921.
Anyway, I love both of these and how they look on my wrist. But I guess you need to try them on to see how they fit on your wrist.

I made a boo boo with my wrist size. 18 "cm" and not "mm". (if mm the wrist would be smaller than the watch. Ha! )
And I too love my 1921. It was a grail watch for so long and I was finally able to get one used in excellent condition.
I am not sure which dial color you prefer for the 4500v, but the blue of that particular blue is mesmerizing. I can't help starring at it all day when it's on my wrist.
I hope you get a chance to see one in person. All of the 4500v's dial colors are great looking, though.

from mm to cm; I got the intent! I hope to see a blue dial in the flesh some day. I bought a 1921 40mm in white gold and slate Traditionnelle in platinum without seeing the watches in person. The Overseas 4500v makes me nervous because the dimensions of the bracelet and case don’t seem comparable to other watches I own (everything I own is on a strap). I’m very late to the sports watch game as I have historically been more interested in traditional, smallish dress watches.
