Out for a leisurely lunch today in Hong Kong watch "window shopping"....

Oh my, a couple rare beasts in the front AD window...bounded left and right by platinum and rose gold Moonstruck pieces.

The UN Erotic Hourstriker on top is quite the sight; but the real treat is the Jungle Repeater. 

Unfortunately, I'd have to sell much of my collection (or a house) to aquire it    My wife would never understand -- perhaps even less so with the "erotic"

It's such a fanciful piece and an exhibition for the aritsans.  Certainly amongst the best that UN ever produced.

I stared from the sidewalk for 5 minutes, then feeling conspicuous I did go in and the salesman was kind to show it to me, but my boldness to photograph it was constrained through the front window.

You can add the Freak Diavolo, the Tellurium, the Royal Blue tourbillon and I think that our bases are pretty well covered.



Tellurium or Moonstruck? I am not sure which one I would pick. Maybe the Tellurium for tis slimmer and smaller case?

But the Moonstruck has a breathtaking dial.

As for the chiming watches, I must admit a huge weakness for the Erotic.

Horological heaven is in HK, it seems!

The Tellurium in Platinum for me, or better yet the full trilogy set in Pt.

But I never saw a Jungle, truly...

I never saw a Royal Blue Tourbillon non jewelled, either. Nor an Erotic.

the Production numbers already are low, very low. Very often, the pieces are not even sold to the dealer, but sent there after an end customer ordered them. i can understand that, after I learend how delicate the mechanism of a minute repeater is.

... then maybe we would also be so lethargic when shelling out the money for a big S-class Mercedes for a watch. In fact, let's be glad that this is not the case and we are still able to really enjoy what we afford ...

I am glad you got to take a closer look.  The Jungle Repeater looks amazing in the print photos I have seen.

... having a dealer showing these highlights in the shop window is indeed a rarity. You were lucky to see them! Yes, the Jungle repeater is a marvel in itself.
