On the opposite side of the bay from Arcachon, Cap Ferret is a superb place...
From there you enjoy a great view over the Dune du Pilat, another great place worth visiting...
And a nice walk on the beach of Arcachon is another enjoyable moment...

How were the oysters?
Unfortunately, we cannot go to France from where I am today due to health restrictions. The population morale is at a low point: we want fresh oysters with a nice white wine!
I am loving all the sunshine, clear skies, and reflections...
So nice to be near the water this time of year.

Great memmories for this place
I have been there 1976 with my father at the dune of Pyla. An old garderer from the parking place noticed that we are Germans and he came to my father, giving him hands and said "all is forgetten, he was a prisoner in wwIl in Germany".
This was a great gesture in these days.
