Dear friend of mine recently paid a visit to the boutique, wanting to have a closer look at the La Monegasque line. Having admired the chronograph lines, he's a bit torn between the regular production chronograph
vs. the limited edition model, namely the Club:
Aesthetically the Club presents a much more interesting combination of dial colour & material used, not to forget the exclusiveness of the LE models.
Having said that, being a bit of a movement snob, my friend had a slight preference over the elaborated finishing on the RD78:
But then again, we noticed that RD680 being the 1st chronograph movement from RD w/ the vertical clutch:
As such, he was a bit torn between the two from the movement's aspects. What would be your choice?
Thanks to foversta for the beautiful photos

Both movements to me look great, so even if I think the RD78 is more pleasing to the eye, the RD680 is still pretty to look at. Nevertheless, the dial and color combination is always my main decising factor, and movements are secondary.
Cheers,
Anthony
examining and testing both movements, my pick would be the RD 78.
cheers

If I look at the dial I would prefer the normal version, when I'm turning the watch then I would prefer the RD78 of the Club.
I feel two hearts in mind...at least I would pick up the Club because the movement for me is more important.
