Had that annoyance with the iwc pilot deployant. Some people say flipping the 12 and 6 end of the strap may help orient it differently which would be more comfortable
I've had this problem too. Besides TeutonicCarFan's good advice you could also order another strap that is a different length (assuming they make that), then mix and match different length

halve's with the goal being, when the watch is squarely on top of your wrist the folded clasp is dead center on the bottom of your wrist. That was my solution for a Parmigiani Tonda (where I upgraded from buckle to clasp) and a Breitling Premier (which was also upgraded from buckle to clasp). I do have a small wrist... which may make proper fit more challenging?
Unsure if that would be hard here as the lug profile seems to have unique cut outs. Another consideration is a double fold deployant if available or a tang buckle. I’ve actually moved to all tang buckles on leather straps and only have one deployant on a rubber strap.
I had a Zenith Chronomaster on the cloth strap and deployant and the fit was perfect for me but I have a 19cm wrist and with that deployant it clipped into the strap holes so could be moved to suit the wrist and all medium size straps just seem to fit me well. It does sound like a strap issue more than anything else but you didn't actually show a picture of the deployant itself so hard to say for sure. If it is a strap issue just find a custom strap maker and have one made to your requirements and all should be good again. Wear and enjoy your watch in good health.
