If a watch is my girl friend, well then I have many girl friends I guess.

I have never sold any of my Pateks, and esp this one is not going anywhere. Just trying to build up some courage to open the seals.
Best,
K

Personally I really can't understand
why one would keep watch in plastic
after wanting it for so long
Sincerely

I don't see any point in wasting money if the watch is going to remain sealed in plastic and stored in a safe. The only good thing that comes out of this is perhaps the fact that Patek Philippe will never ever get a service or quality complaint on most of their complicated pieces since the collectors choose to keep them unused and safe - even from themselves!!
One might as well visit a dealer to admire the watch from behind a glass showcase regularly or even ask for them to let you touch it sometimes.
This " Double-Sealed Plastic Syndrome" or should we call it " Horo-Wearo Phobia" (fear of breaking the plastic seal on Patek and strapping on the watch) seems to be unique to a rather large set of Patek collectors that have the courage to spend serious money on superlative pieces; only to develop cold feet when it comes to wearing them and actually enjoying the experience.
I sincerely hope that Patek collectors would wear watches instead of collecting them , whether for storage or sale...
