Cost will be high but personally I think worth it
Dial will need to be refinished or at the least cleaned up. There does appear to be enamelling on the letters.
Needs new hand and crystal
need to see movement as well
PP can definitely do this but get a quote first
Good luck

... the closest I could match, but without finding the real reference, is to reference 1480 and 1488, assuming the caliber used is 9-90.
If the watch keeps quite well time than it should not be too costly to service it.
Without parts exchange it should not be an argument, not to give it to service.
The overhaul of the case should be also not too costly, but the dial is most likely the most expensive part, if
it shall be the original one like.
Overall: it should (!) be o.k. to give this piece to repair after an estimate (!) from Patek.
To the owner now: financially it should make sence to repair it, but it does not mean that you will be rich after selling.
Hope it was helpful

... and 9-90 is the movements "name".
Caliber is the technical term and horological lingo for the movement.
It is engraved into the movement, if you carefully open it you will see. But mostlikely, due to the production year, it is a 9-90.
Regarding the rule about value discusions: Fair enough not to speak about discounts at the AD (sorry, another lingo= authorized dealer ) !
BUT here are MAYOR POSTS about auction results, like the one that reports how much the Sterns have paid at an auction recently to get a time piece into there own museum back ???
Do not know why this is accepted ???
Back to your lovely beauty: it is a rose ! No doubt, as it is quite decently functioning.
Ask Patek for a quote, but I believe it makes financially sence ...
Regards
Moritz

Hi,
IMO it is not worth having it restored at Patek Philippe as it is too costly compared to the value of this particular watch...
Let me explain:
These very small rectangular watches from the 40ies are not valued on the recent market and specially this shape.
Now these kind of watches are a little bit out of fashion and this is reflected in the low prices paid for them.
Would be a different situation with a "Banana", "Pagoda" or an "Hourglass" - then it would make sense to spend $2000 or even more...
I would have the watch cleaned and lubricated, give the case a light cosmetic treatment - only smooth hand detailing - NO BUFFING WHEEL!!!!
and keep it!
When tastes and fashion will change some day in the future it may be good to have it in the drawer
Just my 2 cents
