I am wondering if any collector has comments on rose gold on PPs. Will it fade over time? I am a newbie and considering the 5960R. Is there any watch that you would suggest in this price range?

Hello.
a beautiful watch, but as most of the rose gold watches it will fade after some years.
That's why Rolex developed their own alloy to avoid it.
As far as I know Rolex is the only one which a fade-less rosegold alloy.
Rose gold does change color over the years as it oxidizes on the surface - the color changes a little towards yellow...
But this is not a problem at all - with a smooth polish using a microfibre tissue the color becomes as fresh as it comes from the factory - will last for some time.
If you wear your watch regularly (and I hope you do and don´t just let it sit "in jail" in the vault!) the color will remain RG as it is polished with the regular contact with your body, your clothes ...
RG is the most beautiful gold color IMO - but it is not everybody´s taste as we all know - others prefer platinum
best
