On the way to attend our little daughter’s high school graduation ceremony in the UK, my wife and I took the opportunity to stop over in Geneva for two nights.
Aside from spending a fantastic day in Villeret, I couldn’t miss the chance to bring my 6196P back to its birthplace—the sanctuary of horology.
We enjoyed a wonderful private guided tour of the Patek Philippe Museum. It was fascinating to see the original pieces of horology from various brands, as well as all those Patek Philippe’s iconic timepieces (and automated miniature machines!)
I even had the chance to take a wrist shot with a current Patek Philippe watchmaker. 😍
On our last morning in Geneva, we visited the Geneva Salon. Not only did we see nearly the entire current collection, but we also had the chance to view the famous pair of Tiffany Safes inside the Salon!
It was truly an unforgettable trip to the city of horology. Heartfelt gratitude to La Maison 😊
Cheers, Henry
p.s. I hadn’t corrected the timezone of UK yet, and we nearly went straight to the museum after getting off from plane😅
The Museum is definitely a watch collector’s dream place. I’m really looking forward to visiting again someday soon. Thanks for sharing with us. Best, Emmanuel
Merci, mon ami. I am glad that I brought the 6196P with me during this trip. It did survive the hot climate, despite earning a few marks on the lugs.... but who cares ? (fortunately not a dent)
I was totally amazed by the number of iconic watches in the museum and how many watches were in there ! It was such an unbelievable experience for me, albeit too short.
Thank you, Gordon. The cloisonné WT's shot were taken for you. There is one more shot on the wonderful cloisonné table clock. Time is never enough inside the Museum. Cheers, Henry
Thank you, Gary. My wife and I are very proud of our daughter. The visit to the Museum is truly a fantastic experience. It's certainly a homecoming for my 6196P :)
Thank you, Miloš! It's wonderful to see my daughter turns from a little girl to a charming young lady in a blink. Geneva is truly a city of dream for all watch lovers!
I am happy you managed to visit the museum, there is nothing comparable to this stunning place

You will not believe it but I did visit it five times already! And I enjoyed each time as if it was the first one 😉. And Geneva also is always a great place to be in… Big congrats on your daughter’s graduation 👏👏
