You’re not alone with your fascination of this model. I remember seeing it at the AD when it came out in red gold. Apart from the advanced research dep movement, the finishing with the brushed satin and the subdued Patek Logo (amazing you see it then you don’t-holograph’ish effect) makes this watch stand out. I like the G too but the R is king of this reference.
I saw it in 2019 but went with the 7234R instead..,,
Maybe this subconscious part of my brain calling since and now I got it. It is good to see some different layouts and designs on how to read time. Thank you jlc.thomsen 🙏🏻

I could not decide between the WG or RG. Both are beautiful. Finally chose the first gen, and WG is more versatile.

Are 3 apertures at the top; but this configuration is unique.
The 5207/8, 5205, 5960s, 5905s all have 3 apertures at the top …
This is good and fits my no redundant theme.

I was just reading up about the 5350 advanced research and pateks research in developing Spiromax, Gyromax and Pulsomax based on silinvar so these pics and post are great.
I did not know that the "regulator" watch was the only regular production watch that features these great developments. very interesting. I do like the RG version of regulator better than the WG version but both are beautiful.
