That watch is classified in my mind as “mindblowingly elegant and beautiful and rather unobtanium”.
An AD used this piece as ransom to me. He said “we have the moonphase nautilus in our safe now. You can buy it sure, but we only sell it to customers who spend US$80k and up.” This is a true story I told Holdenchamp. He then said he can get me the green nautilus in 2 years, if I spend that amount today. I found it very fishy even for an authorized Patek AD.

But spending 80k on pieces in their shop, as a qualifying for that Nautilus, is quite a hard sell technique. Furthermore, they bullshitted that they could get the green piece in 2 years, when that piece is only produced for a year, as mentioned by a forum member.

US$80k buying other Pateks (say a perpetual calendar that was available), then you could buy the 5726A-014 at the same time at retail price ?

Yes, it is a Patek AD, the only one in that country. They only sell Patek. I was asked to spend 80k usd on other pateks they currently have on inventory, so I can be entitled to that moonphase nautilus. Is this a standard practice?

From a business perspective I understand why that AD did so but they are not supposed to do so.

I’m thankful u did not request me to screenshot the entire message log to send you. I can, but it is in my partner’s phone. I cannot speak or write Vietnamese, and therefore she helped me contact them. To ask her for a screenshot is possible, but she will probe me on who is asking and why I am bringing up the nautilus again when we decided it was not within reach.

I'm not surprised at Hanoi AD's offers as this is the standard practice for the last 3-4 years in ALL the ADs around here (Bangkok).
This also isn't exclusive for PP, but also other "hot brands", using these "hot models" to sell hard to move pieces.
Some even have more "outrageous" practice in regard to these pieces and it's getting worse by the days as their price soars.
I don't see Patek do anything about it nor I think they will.

Loads of rich Thais. When I was in Thailand, I recall the bling is blinger there in Bangkok. 

Well, depends on where you visit in Bangkok/Thailand and bling doesn't equal to rich.
But whether what your wealth level is, it's frustrating to be a watch lover here, with all ADs like that and you can't buy anything without premium or bundled.
Though I guess, it's not that much different for many other countries and the issue is now becoming more widespread to other places around the world as people are becoming more interested in watches (maybe for a different reason that we do) and their price increasing.

When the pandemic clears. It’s quite bad in Australia too. I cannot get any Rolex/AP/FPJ I like. But somehow the other brands are ok here. I heard Rolex is easier to get in Hanoi.

What can I say, I like watches.  Nice M2 by the way.  I've yet to drive one! 

My favorite still is 5990/1A.

The 5712 is flawed, that micro-rotor 240 caliber is really special and cool. But the micro rotor is SO NOT EFFICIENT at winding. Sometimes I'll walk 10,000+ steps a day and the power reserve didn't build at all! The 5711 with a blue face is great, but the white date disc does clash with the rest of the dial (although that clash wouldn't stop me from getting one). The 5980 is really cool, but personally I prefer the 5960, but that's just me. And some people don't like the layout of the 5712. It's not as symmetrical as the other layouts, it's a little strange to some individuals. The unusual layout of the 5712 doesn't bother me though. I kind of like it.

I like your Nautilus as it is very clear and balanced.
