Advice please
I was thinking of selling my 130 (below) for a 5970g or r. I love perpetual calendar chronographs by patek.
the 130 with the valjoux movement with the swan neck regulator is very beautiful as well but without an exhibition back it cannot be seen.
As the 130 is not waterproof it is less wearable on a daily basis than the 5970 (humidity or sweat in summer)
On the other hand Im afraid if the 40mm case of the 5970 is too big for my small 17cm wrist.
I have also a 3970j which i love. Do you all think it will be too much of a similar watch( same movement)?

Keep the 130
even without the exhibition back. It is a very good size like your 3970 and as stated above it is rare to find a good 130. The 5970 has the same movement but the 37cm (or 36.5mm case) of the 3970 suits the movement better as visible from the case back. Saying that the 5970 is somewhat an iconic watch due to its short production span. Although it is larger than the 3970 , the case is arguably more balanced - the 3970 being on the thick side. You could start a perpetual calendar chronograph collection of course and then add a 5270 to your 3970 and 5970!! 
With the price of the 5270 and 5970 maybe i can buy a simple 1518 [nt]

I d sell it ,regarding 5970 it s a great watch make a pic prior purchase and we take look I think it s gonna be fine but definetly will have some wrist presence..what s yr fav RJ or G?

Your 17 cm wrist will perfectly welcome the 5970. I have the same wrist size than you, and have no problem with a 40 mm watch.
The 5970 will become a cult watch. If it is not already the case.
I don't see the problem to make the 5970 and the 130 co exist. I would rather see the problem with the 3970 and the 5970, unless you want to build a collection of Patek Chrono / PCs...
I have a rule, when it comes to brands such as Patek and a few others ( Lange, for example ): Not two watches with the same movement. Unless you want to build a collection around a theme, as I've already said.
So, I would keep the 130 and only one PC Chrono. Or the 5970 or the 3970.

This is a hard one.....
Much depends on which watch sings to you loudest. I don't think the 5970 is too big for a 17cm wrist .... the nature of the case allows it to wear very easily on a smaller wrist.

I have a 3940 and a 3970 and I have a small wrist. So I am biased to those. I will say that for me a 3970 and a 5970 in the same collection would be redundant. I would constantly be wondering what I could get if I sold one. My two cents.

but I would personally do this trade. Something about being able to wear more contemporary yet classic watches. best
