I visited today, oddly enough for the first time ever, due to a specific occasion. However, these are the images I took of the surroundings altogether, I will follow up with a separate thread on the exact reason I was there in the first place ........ (All shots taken with the X2D)
The Q division is, apparently, thriving, and it's easily among the company's highest profit margin segments. Most of the cars inside the store are, fairly obviously, done up in a custom paint from Q. The point of my visit earlier today wasn't to just ogle the decent variety of current model paint and trim options, I was there to see the first pre-production Vanquish they shipped to the West Coast . Pics coming shortly....
Absolutely, it's literally on a cliff right above the coastline in Orange County....

I made sure I brought my 'proper' camera so that it catches the sophisticated color schemes on the cars as true-to-life as digitally possible.... Thanks for looking, cheers, Filip
it's the 2024 Vantage, and those three shots are my own favorite ones from this set because I think I succeeded in showing off the truly dramatic side and rear haunch lines that are really difficult to convey through just pictures in general.... Thanks a bunch for looking and sharing your thoughts! Cheers, Filip
sharp-eyed observers will have already seen it in one of the images above, lurking all the way to the end of the sales floor . I've already downloaded and cropped 35 shots of the car, but I'm dead-tired right now, it's 1am in LA, I'll downsize and upload them all when I wake up ........
so they don't actually have any demonstrator cars, that will happen early next year! The V12 is, obviously, the biggest appeal here. All of the cars are pretty, the V12 is one and only ππ€π....
Nice collection of AMs. Last time I was there they had a black Valour.

Not sure if someone bought it or if they shipped it out....US $2M car.
Frankly, I preferred the new Vantages to the Valour. The green with yellow striping and caramel interior convertible Vantage really caught my eye (pictured in your photos as well) but the decal/painted number on the door would be a deal-breaker (not to mention the price!).
My bet is someone bought it. Haven't seen one of them in person yet. I agree that the decal is too much for everyday driving, the draw of that one is the glorious V12 in such a compact package....
but as justified as it gets. Transportation, in general, has always been my favorite line of business. Having its roots not in some materialistic notions of expensive vehicles etc., but in my profound love for physics which is all about motion, and motion, to all of us, is life itself. As much as I like and respect the successes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Koenigsegg etc., my philosophy and disposition in life was that I'm only ever racing myself, I'm into timeless, gorgeous elegance and sophistication, not into cartoonish aesthetics and ostentatious features, regardless of how well put together they may be.... Astons, to me, have always been the pinnacle of class and beauty in a high performance motor vehicle. I totally buy into the entire lineage, and history of the company which, even nowadays, frequently battles the potential of insolvency as a result of how idealistically focused their product line is.... Hopefully I'll be able to get the new Vanquish, and not only derive monumental pleasure from owning and driving the car, but leave it as a statement-piece to whomever my inheritors end up being........
I fully agree that Astons look wonderful and they are the sort of gran tourer that would be fantastic to live with. I hope you get your Vanquish in due course. All the best, Jon
