For a number of years (no longer) there were Historic Races at North Island Naval Air Station, on the runways. I worked as a track helper for about 10 years and saw lots of nice Lotus race cars.
This one year we saw a bunch of Lotus and Caterham Sevens. I swore one day I would own a Seven. Little did I know that years later I would have the "Prisoner" car on the left.
My wife is uncertain ...
Here I am (years later) and its my car now. But I eventually sold it, in 2000.
These are from the Lotus Classic Collection, in Norwich by the Lotus Factory
Clive Chapman (Colin's son) explaining this car to us.
Great stuff and thanks for a nice read !! Question : why didnt cars back then have a rear wheel wing/spoiler ? No need or was it not invented yet that it would bring more down force? were
