An additional twist...
At least one of us (not mentioning any names, but his avatar is a nun...) is so shallow as to have been guilty in the day of having bought albums solely for the cover artwork itself, regardless of the identity of the musician/band represented or the quality/genre of the music inside.
If anyone else is prepared to own up to such...superficial...habits, it would be good to see those albums!

The beauty of those 12" records...
...was that you got to savor the artwork on front. It drew you inside and often was the reason why we bought that record. It often was for me.
