Hello dear friends!
I have the pleasure of being your host during our WS event for this weekend starting today Friday July 4th.
I start this post wishing a Happy Independence Day to our American Friends!!
Our Theme is "Funky, Crazy Watches" and we ask our participants to share their "non conventional" watches.
That is those timepieces having some special features on their dials, case shape, or even case back which are very distinctive from a "conventional" watch design.
If a participant doesnΒ΄t have a "funky or crazy" watch in his collection he may share the watch (or watches) he expects to wear during the weekend.
This theme was inspired by my recent addition to my collection: a M.A.D. 1 Red which was a watch that had been haunting me for some time. I finally found an example in a NOS condition complete with box and papers.
It is something completely different to the traditional style of most watches in my collection and I find it whimsical, strange and very fun, though I admit: not very practial to read the time on its side and in a digital way. (May be it can be a practical watch for driving while keeping our hands on the car wheel). But it surely is very fun to view its balance wheel moving on its dial and a conversation starter as well.
You may start posting your entries now in this same thread.
The event will run till Sunday afternoon and veredicts will be announced on Monday.
As usual we have three categories:
Best wrist shot
Best static shot
Best classic watch shot
And all pictures submitted will participate in Best Watch of the Month category.
I wish a great relaxing weekend and a very enjoyable edition of WS to all our Community!!
Best cordial regards
Abel
