No replacement yet! In the end legibility was too much of an issue in several lighting setting for me. The gold version might have been a better choice for me and is still an option but also considering a Patek chrono and possibly a Minerva one as well.

Understatement of the year 😊 Another amazing chrono collection you show here, dear HS111! The 5172 is clearly a dear recent addition, the Daytona a staple and the vintage choices varied and truly superb! Wasn’t aware that the Shark and Type XX shared a case for instance - thanks for that detail 👍🏻
For me personally, the Duometre of yours is the one that has me drooling most, and not only due to the foudroyante 😍 You also have it in my favorite color combination 👌🏻

I love this version of the JLC Duometre and the 5172G is a modern classic. I’m glad you have the modern Daytona down as a daily beater as I think it fits this role well. Personally I’m more drawn to older models - such as the 6263 - not that I have one🤣

As I said before chronograph is my favorite complication and as a matter of fact chronos make for a big percentage of watches in my collection.
Nice to wear it by the sea…
It’s true that I don’t use them for any serious time lapse control: e.g. timing car or horse racing, timing workers at certain production stages in a factory or while navigating an airplane.
No, I just measure the exact 3-1/2 minutes I like boiled eggs, or play with them for the pleasure of feeling the work of their pushers and view the several chronograph hands working together registering seconds an elapsed minutes and hours.
Just mesmerizing!
I got several favorites which I would like to share here:
Starting with my minty Friendhip Flightmaster (you know the story… It was found in Germany, it went to California to make it running after about fifty years sitting in some drawer and landed in my collection all thanks to the time and efforts of our dear Art/Dr.No to make it possible.)
Now the following favorite: our Zenith WPS Special…
