My wife and I had the pleasure to attend the great dinner organized by the purists and Montblanc. It was great to see some old friends and meet some new people and some of the folks behind Montblanc USA.
Here are some pics. I have to apologize for the quality of the pictures since I forgot to bring my flash and the restaurant had very poor lighting. The event took place at La Grenouille. A restaurant famous not only for its exquisite cuisine, but also for its flower arrangements.
It was a little after 6:30 PM and folks were mingling and chatting. Having Florian the watchmaker at the event was a great idea!
Our esteem moderator and my wife.
Mr. Schmitz the CEO of Montblanc North America
Kudos to Montblanc in trying to make the best out of the small space that was upstairs.
The transformation of Florian...LOL.
Around 7:30 PM we sat down for dinner.
Two short speeches by the president of Montblanc USA and Montblanc forum moderator.
We were probably about 25 people including the folks from Montblanc. We got to watch a short movie about the Soulmakers at the Villeret watchmaking factory.
After dinner (absolutely delicious...the Gigondas was very good, and the dessert was fantastic!!!) we got to see some fabulous timepieces.
my favorite of the night: the white gold, grey face monopusher....stunning!!!!!!!!!!!
vintage...
Villeret pieces weren't too shabby either...
look ma, piece unique!
one breathtaking piece of haute horologerie....
and two Rieussec chrono....I'll take the one on the right...
The evening ended with smiles all around by 10 PM.
Thank you for looking,
Adrian

Thanks for the report Adrian and glad you had a great time at this event.
It must have been a real treat to see so many Villeret pieces in one spot since the MB Boutiques I've visited usually only have 1 or 2 at most on display in the showcases. The finishing of the Villeret pieces is amazing and a true joy to view though a loupe.
I'm also happy to see that Montblanc also brough a couple of the Rieussec pieces. Great report!
Cheers,
Anthony
