Montblanc

After I sent in my Nicolas Rieussec Ring Hours for the power reserve issue, I felt such a big void. To fill that, I succumbed to adding 2 watches to my modest collection. Now I'm a happy man without a happy bank.

One of the 2 watches is a Montblanc Sport Collection DLC. I've always liked this watch and what better time to have it than now? The other one is a Panerai 372. It makes me smile equally as much. I hope it's ok for me to post about watches besides Montblanc here.

I like both, and in fact own the 372.

Right on, Michael!!! Isn't the 372 just literally "SIMPLY beautiful? You've got good taste =)

I used to own multiple PAMs and was hooked on the brand for a while. But the 372 ended all that for me. It is the very best modern piece they have made, and satisfies all of my Panerai cravings with one watch. I do wish the caseback were solid steel, but otherwise, I love it.
Now, to be truthful, I can see adding a 662 Radiomir 1940. I have not seen it in person, but the dial color looks very unique, and I am a big fan of the case.

Which one gets wrist time when the Rieussec comes back Congrats on these two. Very nice choices.

Honestly, I've had the same problem with servicing watches as you. Always coming back with one more than we started off with. In my case is was with JLC.

My plan is to have the Montblanc DLC as my beater or casual wear. The 372 will be more for work whereas the NR will be reserved for the special occasions. Pretty soon I'll probably have to organize it by the day of the week and hence have more watches. My wife will blame you all for the "poison" you guys are feeding me. Hahah.

So it's not just the Pam... But a Montblanc sports DLC too
That is the Montblanc watch with the highest water resistance in the collection if I recall right, 200m water resistance

Hopefully your Nicolas Rieussec rising hour will return soon so you can take a pic of your Montblanc duo

That's what I had to tell my wife, that there's this guy on the forum that poisons us everyday with a drop of seduction with all those beautiful Montblanc pieces.
Montblanc should really hire you as their ambassador, Robin =)
Hm..... Maybe they already did.

Btw, this DLC Mobtblanc is very heavily built. It's probably heavier than the Pam 372. It makes me feel more macho when I have it on the wrist, haha.

I had one about 14, 15 years ago and I remembered it was extremely well made and everything about it was of high quality. This was what made me believe a jewelry house could also make great timepieces.

Before I got the DLC Montblanc, I was mostly admiring the aesthetics of it. But after I put it on, I realized how versatile the thing is. It's built and heavy like a tank.
Despite the manly looks of the watch, the dial still carries quite a bit of detail to it.
Btw, is the watch that old? 15 yrs? I thought it was closer to 10. I stand corrected.

I reckon it was the very first version and they made variations afterwards
