No, my issue is that, for such a milestone, the obligation to get the set, while it would have been better to offer it as an option, and the short LE, the party is a bit spoiled.
While 200 per metal would have been more convenient, to offer to more people the possibility to get one.
Here what do we have? A " Lange Owners Club " Watch?

20 limited-edition sets of A. Lange & Söhne’s design icon
On the occasion of the 20th birthday of the LANGE 1, the eminent Saxon brand presents the LANGE 1 “20th Anniversary” watch set. It consists of the LANGE 1 and the LITTLE LANGE 1. The two models symbolise the significance of spending time together. The design of the two watches is gracefully balanced, like two harmonising voices in a duet.
LANGE 1 “20th Anniversary” watch set in pink gold Every big event has a magic moment. The introduction of the LANGE 1 at the presentation of A. Lange & Söhne’s first wristwatch collection in Dresden on 24 October 1994 was such a moment. Those who attended the event will have noticed its historical signifi-cance. With its striking design, technical innovations such as the outsize date and the three-day movement as well as the perfection with which it was crafted, it became the face of the brand and the benchmark for many further developments.
The manufactory is commemorating the 20th anniversary with five limited-edition watch pairs consisting of the LANGE 1 and the LITTLE LANGE 1. The solid-silver dials are guilloched by hand. Both models incorporate Lange’s L901.0 manufacture calibre. By coincidence, the movement has as many parts as a year has days – 365. The watches differ in diameter: 38.5 millimetres for the LANGE 1 and 36.1 millimetres for the LITTLE LANGE 1. The ladies’ model features a precious bezel set with 64 brilliant-cut diamonds.
The sets are available in the following case/dial combinations: platinum/black, platinum/ rhodié, white-gold/blue, pink-gold/argenté and pink-gold/black. Each of these different sets of the LANGE 1 “20th Anniversary” is limited to 20 pairs as expressed by the hand-engraved “20” on the balance cock.

If it was a bigger LE and not a set, I would have thught about getting one, but honestly, I don't know which one, the white gold blue dial which is magnificient,, or the platinum black, which is just gorgeous.
But well, with such an obligation to get the set, and with a short LE, I pass... Just for the pleasure of the eyes...

The blue is totally different from the previous blue,which I own. It is gorgeous. Th darth also is a new take. Absolutely love both.
But you said it correctly. Another Lange club only. I really do not understand why this continues.
I would like to see a photo of the two blues...
side-by-side. I recently purchased an old 1815 WG/blue dial and just had Alkis replace the old reflective crystal with one that's anti-reflective, so I have an interest in the various shades of blue that Lange has used over the years. I wondered if they varied very much. And it as nice meeting you (finally), Joe!

I really like what I see to say the least ...
but I can imagine the fact that you have to get them as a set like this should be a "show stopper" for quite a few - me included. Simply because my wife loves watches, but not with stones. She likes it complicated, but not blinky.
A second thought is what does it mean for the Lange 1A and some of the special pieces for Japan. Are those less collectible or even more interesting, because of their similarities? I am not sure yet. Will have to think about once more.
Anyway, some of the pieces shown are to die for

I would go for the "Guilloche Darth"....

Agree with the sentiments;
I really like the guilloche look on these L1's.. shame to have to consider the pair, which immediately excludes me from the equation. Given the chance, the WG/blue would be my choice as I already have the 'original' Darth
Just to clarify however, this W&W LE is different from what Lange plans to unveil at the event in October for which the photo contest was held? Will another novelty be presented at that point?

Will the world end existing in four years time?
I mean: fine watches are great looking albeit very close to the L 1A and Hong Kong edition.
But: why not issuing these ones to the 25th anniversary?
A 20th anniversary sounds so "uncommon" like the last 165th anniversary editions and not as a 175th editions.
Saying that: I bought one of the 165th edition watches as it looked great.
I don't know.
A former Puristpro member is saying to the release of the black Langematik Perpetual in WG and not platinum that this is due to the "straitened times the watch industry is facing".
Maybe this is also the reason why Lange tries to be ahead of the times and sees the world ending in four years time ... ?
A last word to the pair edition: at least they do not come with more jewellery accessories like Patek did with the 40th anniversary edition of the Ellipse.
A very positive note for all who can / will not buy one: how on earth can one decide between all these beauties?
I am sure that there will be one or two who will go for all models and they are the targeted clientele!

Lange knows how to keep the tension up and delivers then 100%.
Maybe a L1 perpetual is in the pipe?
Complicated or not: these ones presented today are really stunning looking and top collector's items.

The dial work looks very similar to the Japanese Moonphase edition. The blue dial is my favorite as well, I'll be curious to see what the sets retail for.

I saw the watches in person. Tough decision to chose
My personal favourite: rose gold and black dial.
Must view under bright light for all black dials. Really stunning!
