A. Lange & Söhne

Please give me your opinion on the Zeitworks or Lange One.   I saw both at the Worth Ave boutique.

Yes of course both have a limited production but it is the case for any Lange watch as the production as a whole is limited.

Please be more precise about the Lange One you are talking about because there are several versions around.

Anyway, the Zeitwerk is a much more difficult watch to produce due to its mechanism than the Lange One which is  the big classic of the collection from 1994.

But please, forget the value only topic.

Choose the one you prefer, the one you feel comfortable with, the one which creates deep feelings... in other words, listen to your heart!

We really try to avoid talking about value on this forum.  Value is something that is very personal; since I was trained as an economist, I believe value is based upon utility derived (what do you get) from the expenditure.  Meaning, do you gain a corresponding amount of happiness for the expense incurred... 

Both watches are tremendous watches and truly worth considering. 

If this is your first high quality watch, I'd recommend the Lange One in manual wind. 

If you already have a collection, I'd recommend the Zeitwerk. 

Go with what your heart says...

The Lange 1 is an icon and I don't find its timeless design boring. Moreover, the perfect lay-out of the dial combined with the off-centered time display creates a quite original design. It may look classic now but when it was presented, it was perceived as  daring.

I believe it is a matter of taste...

The Zeitwerk makes you smile EVERY minute! :P

.. not all Zeitwerk or Lange 1 are LEs.
And secondly, how big is your wrist?  How big is the sleeve of your shirts (meaning, would Zeitwerk fit in your shirt sleeve?)?.

In my case, I can't wear Zeitwerk because it is too big for my wrist and any of my shirts wouldn't accommodate it.  With my small wrist, nothing is uglier than the watch hanging around the wrist beyond the shirt sleeve.  Watch should be worn within the shirt sleeve, relatively tightly.

.. my shirts are ALL custom made already and I don't want to make big sleeve ones just for Zeitwerk   Datograph or Turbograph are okay, but Zeitwerk is tad too big for my current shirts line-up.....  Maybe I am looking for the way to avoid simply saying that I don't like it )))  Hehehe.
