A. Lange & Söhne

I recently decided to put my 1815 chrono on a metal bracelet for a different, perhaps more casual look

What do you guys think? Is it a hit or a flop?

I have an 1815 Chrono and I think there are many alternative ways to make it look more casual. Try a Nato strap in blue and gray. Try a cocoa brown strap with gray stitching. Try a gray croc strap. But I would skip the bracelet.

A Navy Blue Nato is a surprising combo, at first thought, but how logical!

As long as you like it nothing else matters much! 

Perhaps on a different bracelet. In any case, I can't stand the thought of the bracelet brushing against my precious metal case...so would have been a no for me, aesthetics aside

just maybe not this bracelet as my first choice.  Does not look like a Lange bracelet, is that correct?

.. a Lange bracelet, it was the bracelet of another one of my watches, a Longines, and watched to see what it would look like! In my mind I thought it would look good, but I guess the actual result was otherwise :/

looks cheap, to be honest.

Thanks Oliver. Yes, it looks cheap because it is cheap! It came from a $500 donor watch, I imagined it would look good in my head, but I guess in reality it was otherwise.

an "intregated" bracelet and to fit the colour I would prefer it in WG. In general I don´t have any problem with inexpensive bracelets, as long as they are well done. "Older" Baume Mercier steel bracelets come to my mind. But in your case it should be the original one or you try a nato (as mentioned before):

I like the idea on the real Lange bracelet, and I wouldn't mind on a better looking bracelet, it has a strong character what won't please anyone but I like this combination.

... I think Lange watches fare much better on straps.

I think ANY watch with steel bracelet is big no go. It just looks bad. The only watch that perhaps

Personally, a leather strap seems more at place with your beautiful 1815 Chrono.

Thank you for your honesty though! I was just experimenting with what I could do with the watch. Nato sounds interesting, but I'm a bit apprehensive of putting it on a see through caseback, as you wouldnt be able to see the movement which is half the fun :p

Anyway incase anyone is interested, here is another shot of the 1815 with a few other pieces, this was at the grand Manila GTG

Nice photo of the GTG, but cant help wondering, why is it that the crown of the submariner is on the left? Is that a special version? This is my first time to see one.

... Is a custom job for someone who likes to wear his watch on his right wrist, and wanted it to still look the way it did on the left. it was a hit at the GTG!
