I was really impressed by the Zeitwerk Luminous and the 1815 Moonphase.

IMO, the Zeitwerk Luminous is a big surprise.

It is the first time that I see a Watch which is looking like a concept watch, at Lange.

By far, my favourite Zeitwerk.

The 1815 Moonphase has a magic name, as we all think about the first one.

It is lovely surprise!

Another nice detail is the introduction of the Honey Gold.

I'm not a big fan of the colored gold, but this color is surprisingly sweet and pleasant.

The RL referenzhur is not for me...

I don't like the dial ala 31 days, but it is just my taste...

Globally, an excellent year, for Lange...

Nothing revolutionnary, but some good re introductions, like the 1815 Chrono, and some very nice evolutions, like the 1815 Moonphase.

And an audacious creation, the Zeitwerk.

So, how do you love your Lange?

the movements of the chronos pair looks awesome!

Well, for me this year it's the RL Referenzuhr and the Zeitwerk!

Two perfect beauties!

By the way, would you happen to have taken a shot of the movement of the Referenzuhr? I have not had the chance to view that one in detail, would appreciate you posting it if you have it!

As for the RL, did you forget already that my criteria was anything equal to or above 40mm?!

So at 40.5mm, it made it! Just barely though...

But at 52mm, it passes with flying colours!

Thank you for the live pics of the Zeitwerk and the 1815 Moonphase.

Personally, I'm really starting to love this 1815 Moonphase now, the guilloche on the dial is very nice and better than what appeared on the photo on Lange's website.

I think the 1815 Chrono is very mediocre. Personally, I liked the previous 1815 Chrono more. The previous 1815 Chrono had a very nice Tacymeter on the dial. This one does not. All in all, this watch doesn't look "busy enough" to be a true chrono.

The decoration on the back of the Lange Tourbillon is a big surprise. Looks good!

It was a welcome surprise to see the 1815 chrono back, with its awesome looking movement.

Not sure yet whether I like the moonphase, it appears too blue for me.

Having seen a photo of the Luminous Zeitwerk at night, it looks fantastic.

Be very prudent, as the flash I had to use while taking the pictures didn't do justice to the moonphase...

To be seen in the flesh to fully appreciate it...

It is a nice Lange Chrono, even if I prefer the Dato.

It has something understaed and of an elegant simplicity I appreciate.

But, to be honest, I was under the charm of the 1815 Moonphase and under the shock of the Zeitwerk Luminous, so the 1815 Chrono was a bit eclipsed, to my eyes...

Lange's motto is "state of the art tradition" and I think they uphold that tremendously well. Lange makes paradoxes; a utterly state of the art watch, but presented in a very traditional format.

The Luminous Zeitwerk is a very strange piece; the Zeitwerk alone is already a very strange but innovative piece. A luminous version makes it even more unique.

I think that this watch will become a very unique watch; one of the very few "unique" non-traditional pieces that will leave the Lange factories.

In the past, Lange watches have always looked very traditional and had impressive state-of-the-art movements. Now, they have a watch that looks state of the art too, but its heart is still a traditional mechanical watch; and thus I don't feel that it has violated my interpretation of Lange.

Different watches for different folks. I am one of the few people who always liked the Zeitwerk since its launch in 2009. I can't say that this Zeitwerk is my favorite version (the normal platinum version is already very stunning), but I will say that it is a nice watch that I would be proud to own.

Both of your posts got me to thinking.

I think a chronograph is supposed to be a "busy looking watch" and I found that this 1815 chrono almost seemed to be a bit empty. I like very fine fraction-of-a-second hash markings on my dials and I'm used to seeing a tachymeter on my chronos.

This 1815 chronograph is probably delightfully different for the person who already has a complicated chronograph and is now looking for a simple one.

I guess it shows the phase of collecting I am in. I'm still in the beginning phase where I don't have all the "traditional busy-looking chronographs" I want. But for someone who already has a few "traditional busy-looking chronographs" and is looking for something different. Maybe, after I've gotten those busy looking chronographs, maybe one day I'll have a strong desire to acquire a simple and understated model.

Back to you Nicolas, I liked the 1815 Moonphase, Zeitwerk Luminous, and the Richard Lange the most.

I changed my mind so many times after reading others's comments.

As for your list of champions, it seems that we share the same interest for 2 pieces...

It also seems that we're not alone to love them...

... with WG version, i thought i was about to get my 1st white metal watch. Now with this new one,... back to starting point :P
Quick question, doesn't it feel a bit "gadget"?? ... i am asking as u can compare with the regular WG version. All i got is jst pics. But i feel that the WG is more chic.

Then go for the platinum one.

The WG Black dial has a stunning strength.

I wouldn't say that the Luminous has to be seen as a Gadget.

I rather see it as a concept watch, with this sublte play of transparency.

... a feast of watches!! I dont know where to start from. Zeitwerk WG was on the top of the list.... Until i saw the IWC mystere retro It would be a nice companion to my JLC tourbi.

Actually, I think that the 1815 Moonphase is a true Lange, with a superb finish of the dial and movement.

And the honey gold is the cherry on the cake!

But the cool thing with this wide offer is that we'll all have our champions!
