Unique piece from Lange.

A unique piece from Lange to be presented to the winner of the Concorsa d'eleganza. This 1815 Chrono is an absolute stunner! At least to my eyes. One can only hope that they will include something like this in the permanent collection! Picture from Monochrome.

OMG yes it is a stunner! I would love something like this with a slamon dial but with blue hands!

A really stunning dial, one more reason to congratulate in advance the next winner of the Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este! ;-)

Wow ... this is a really beautiful creation indeed! Such beautiful pairing of colours and tones ... This is in my mind the best looking Lange ever!

The winner takes it all, lucky devil!

Is that the normal gap...

 By: mdg : September 15th, 2021-14:20
...between the case and strap? It looks odd on this one. Wish it was platinum instead of white gold. But the best part is the hinged back cover...nice!

Such a beautiful timepiece. Why is Lange releasing their best creations as limited editions most of the time?

If you were uber-rich you wouldn't ask this question...

 By: mdg : September 15th, 2021-14:28

Didn"t know Lange was only for the uber rich, sorry.

 By: nafetS : September 15th, 2021-14:53
Why didn't they Tell me in the Lange boutique. 😲😜

limited means still obtainable

Concours winner is more difficult than limited. 🥶

+1!

Either very wealthy or very connected...

 By: mdg : September 15th, 2021-15:12
...it's been going that way for a few years now. I can walk into a Patek AD today with $100k in my hand and ask to buy xyz watch. They will tell me to get lost. Same with Ferrari and other luxury brands. I'm not the 'right kind' of person.

Without judging whether you are the “right kind” or not, what you say is generally correct, but I don’t think is the concern here…

 By: FabR : September 15th, 2021-15:59
No matter how amazing anybody’s Lange collection, they are simply not given a chance to apply for this “limited edition” (of 1!) because it will be assigned to the winner of a car show — regardless of their prior relationship with the brand.
Totally legitimate on Lange’s part, which I’m not criticizing (they are neither the first nor the last brand to do this) but I can understand if an established collector is frustrated given the remarkable beauty of this watch! ;-) I’m no Lange collector, and I love it too!😄

Yes, I understand this is 1 of 1...

This is the most beautiful 1815 Chronograph I’ve ever seen! An absolute stunner!

Is it too late to enter the Concorso d’Eleganza? I would also need a car to enter, and a way to get it to Italy…

That’s the first thing I thought too..😂😉

😂🥂

Beautiful - still possible to order custom casebacks?

 By: Jp75 : September 15th, 2021-16:03
The timepiece is really beautiful. Also the choice to leverage a 1815 chrono since it usually sits very nicely on the wrists.

I have a question relating to engraving:
if my memory serves me right, it was possible earlier to order from ALS customs casebacks, e.g. engraved with initials or coats of arms, isn’t it so?

If that is correct, was it also possible to order cuvette /hunter/officer case-backs?

Does anyone knows?

Thanks for any hint/guidance (and of course picture if anyone went down this alley)

Thanks,
Jérôme

Not sure about the color of the sub dials with the salmon which is really superb.

Calling for a salmon chrono specialist?

 By: Jp75 : September 15th, 2021-18:05
What color do you think work best with salmon: Plain color across dial (i.e., no panda)?
Or do you have any other color combo in mind? 🙄

I think it calls for a salmon chrono specialist; Ahhh, but if I recall correctly, you might have a special chrono w salmon dial and precious case? 🤔
