Just got 5827 in RG on rubber strap about a week ago. It is beautiful and I believe is the best in its price category across all brands. Pics to follow.
I have a question about winding.
For now I am planning to use it on the weekends, so if I use automatic winding say on Saturday, it doesnt have enough 'power' to carry it thru Sunday afternoon. It usually stops Sunday morning. And I have to re-adjust time again. So the only option I have now is a mechanical winding on Saturday which is enough for the whole weekend and which is perfectly fine-but then I have to repeat this process every Saturday. Is it ok to do that weekly?
I know some people use rotator box but according to breguet.watchprosite.com Brequet doesnt seems to recommend to do that very often.
Please let me know.
Thank you,
Andrew
Speaking of automatic rewinding: I would put them on Saturday night at 6pm and use, say, till 1am. So is 7hrs of automatic rewinding sufficient enough to run 5827 for 40-48hrs....
Thanks, I thought there is smth I didnt know.
But unscrewing crown, winding watch and putting crown back-will it make the crown mechanism some kind of loose- in other words repeating the 'procedure' every 2 days will it make some harm to internal watch mechanism?
I had Cartier Tank American Chrono(quartz) for 10 years-so never had a problem of rewinding watches
I know it's a bit of a pain, but it's perhaps the simplest way to keep it working even though you don't wear it all week?
Good luck and enjoy your new watch!
