Just received my long sought after Breguet Tradition 7027
I've desired the original yellow gold 7027 for a very long time and I finally managed to get hold of one recently. Took delivery last night and it is completely living up to expectations 
I'll write up something of a proper review sometime soonish with more pics especially since I have a 2x life size macro lens coming soon too which would be an improvement over my current one.
The finishing looks wonderful on this watch. I've often said that flat lighting in many pictures seen of this watch really dull the luster of the frosted finish leading many to underestimate the quality of finishing on the Tradition series. In reality the frosted plates shimmer beautifully in most real world lighting conditions (particularly in gold) and once you look closely you can see the fantastic application of other finishing techniques. I think the anglage especially is done very nicely for a watch from a major brand positioned as "entry level". Quite a few interior angles and sharp exterior angles even on the steel Parachute shock absorber. Not razor sharp like the very high end independents but more than you would typically see from other "entry level" calibers from big brands I think? Nice anglage on the interiors of the wheels too.
Like I said, I'll try to gather my thoughts and take some more pics later but for now I'm just thoroughly enjoying the watch

I understand the high tech look of the anthracite coating might have broader appeal whereas looking like an antique pocket watch would cater to more specific tastes. But I think they are missing out by not offering (yellow) gold case + gold movement in the tradition line anymore. I think a variant of the Fusee Tourbillon is the only exception (in red gold).
Said it before but I think (I'm probably sure) these Tradition are the bargain of the decade
New They start ar 30K I believe and around 40 for their automatic.
But looking at theirs second hand price, which i a fraction of that, I honestly think you can NOT buy a more iconic, better finished, more original watch for the price you'll pay

I want to see if I can *carefully* and safely remove the screw bars and see how it looks with just spring bars and essentially drilled lugs. I think there can be some interesting colour combinations.
If you’re able to remove the screw bars, I’d be curious to hear how it went (technique, screwdriver sizes, etc.) I’m thinking of buying a 7097. Congrats on your watch!
so I got my screwdrivers
and was able to remove the securing screw on one side with the 0.5mm head. However the other side was infernally stuck and I couldnt remove the main screw even on the side where I managed to remove the securing screw. I'm not brave enough to force the issue so I think I will just try to convince the boutique to remove it for me next time I visit.

have to admit I'm not seeing what you're saying about the anglage not being up to what the independents do.
Perhaps I don't have the right discerning eye or it's something you see in person that I don't see in the pics. In any case, beautiful.

I think its fantastically well done, really my point which maybe I didnt make well enough is that there are only a few even among the independents who do it noticeably better on a time only watch such as Dufour or Rexhep Rexhepi where the anglage is noticeably wider and the angles even more extravagant. However I think this Breguet would hold its own against most other independents like FP Journe etc

I haven't owned or even seen well enough independents to really judge. Just last week I watched a very nice video at horopedia in which P. Dufour's daughter Daniela was very nicely demonstrating anglage and I was surprised that she indicated a preference for rounding the anglage surface. I have inspected a number of Breguets and the ones I've seen have flat anglage surfaces, which suits me but I guess the beveled ones might reflect differently.
I've not seen a dufour in person either!
And Im not likely to :P Just going by some excellent photography that's out there for example on Watches by SJX. The vertical profile of the bevel on all the Breguets I've seen is rounded not a straight 45 degree cut, its more subtle than you would see on a Dufour watch but it definitely is. You can see this on the close ups of the finger bridges in the pics above for instance. I've also observed this on my 5817 Marine and on my father's 7337. The anglage on my Glashutte Panograph on the other hand is flat.
The rounded profile is preferred at the very high end as it cannot be achieved by machine while a straight cut can be. On something like the Glashutte it might have been started by machine and then finished up by hand I think.
