Some beautiful timepieces spotted in the new Duesseldorf Breguet Boutique

The new Breguet Boutique in Duesseldorf opened its doors just one week ago and last Thursday I had the pleasure to spend a few hours to enjoy the amazing hospitality and to get up close with some true marvels.
Let’s start with two timepieces that both feature Breguet’s 10Hz technology but represent two different worlds within the Manufacture’s spectrum: the Classique Chronometrie and the Type XXII.
Here’s a watch I deeply fell in love with, the Classique Chronographe ref 5287:
The Marine in titanium with its slate grey dial:
The tonneau shaped Heritage Grande Date:
Last but not least, the amazing Hora Mundi piece unique in rose gold:
I'm very intrigued with the Heritage. A less popular offering from Breguet, but I think the guilloche patterns on it look fantastic, and the coin edging works well on the tonneau case. The 10 Hz classique is a favorite of mine as well!
Thank you very much, dear Thomas, for your kind comments! Regarding the Marine...

... let me quote myself from a post I made on June 8 this year: „The Breguet La Marine timepieces carry numerous references to the nautical world, some very obvious, some needing more explanation. Just to name a few: you will find reference to a ship rudder in the movement rotors and the deployant clasps, the case uses waves as crown protectors or pushers, the moving parts of the lugs are to resemble navigation marks sitting on top of buoys, the counterweight to the central seconds hands show the letter B from the nautical flag alphabet, the 5 minute indices and some small hands on subdials refer to nautical signal flags. The one piece roman numerals, filled with luminous material, find their origin in some nautical symbolised drawings, the guilloche dials obviously show some beautiful waves, the Geneva stripes on the movements are in fact no Geneva stripes but meant to resemble boat decks.“ The Marine needs to be explained to fully understand all the relevant thoughts and references behind the design. This is something that Breguet maybe could emphasize more. Cheers Henrik
for your detailed explanations. I haven’t imagined and realized how profound and far-reaching the thoughts have been in order to create the design of these new models. I am impressed.
On the other hand: having a good explanation can’t change the emotion and impression you have when you look at the result.
Except for the (clumsy!! 😎) Roman numerals I am able to follow all those explanations.
Finally a good design has to speak for itself. It needs no further words. Don’t you think so?
Quick reply, and say what a nice watches to see. Breguet is a manufacturer who made so nice watches, it contains all i want in high end luxury watches. That classy heritage, the craftsmanship. It is no independent, but it behave like an independent.
Thanks for sharing. I rally like that GMT/Worldtime version where with one push of the pusher the watch resets to the city indicated. Easy to use.
Plus a question: do you or does anybody have an idea why we only see Breguet with the 10 MHz technology? On paper it looks great but I don’t see others having picked up on it
Beautiful shots dear Henrik ! I was very close to buying a 5287 - it was just the size that stopped me - but only just. A stunning dial and movement. Best Will [nt]
