He should be more explicit !

Saying JUST "fake" is so easy. He would have been more convincing had he said "franken". The movement is NOT fake, it is an original Valjoux 72 for Heuer-Leonidas. The case appears genuine Carrera. The dial looks genuine to me.

Well your instinct is wrong, and I would add do not rely too much on it in the future... This watch has been in the same family for over 20 years. Moreover there is a frame around the date, please look more carefully as it is visible on the pictures....
