I collected this speedy last night and here are some photos. Quite a nice surprise for a Friday evening .Some excitement to ease the current social distancing environment ! And here is what I wore to collect the watch... my Speedmaster 2998 , also with it...  

Does anyone know whether the column wheel or cam is the most robust chrono mechanism and why?

quick answer.. Typically column wheel chronographs are smoother to operate and does not typically have the 'jerk forward' when you start the chronograph that you get with cams. Cams are typically easier to service and are less labour intensive to assemble...
