There were two main reasons why this latest 57 appealed. The first was that it felt right to get something solid and workmanlike after spending a few years enjoying artier watches (for me, at least). The second was that Omega clearly went to work on it and made proper refinements. They've accentuated its 1950s looks, reduced its diameter and height, switched to manual wind, and used their top-end movement to boot. All the stuff you know! It's a fine piece of work and a nerd's delight.
