Spectre was here....

And so is NTTD.

Last week our family had a vacation to Mexico City, our first time there to the real Mexico. We have been to the famous touristy cities like Cancun, Cabo etc but this trip is quite eye opening.

I researched where to stay and what to do, and with many recommendations from friends and also one of our own members Alex Sunrise.

There are 5 areas, Polanco, Condesa, Roma, Reforma and Centro Historico. Each has their characteristics and I selected Centro Historico because of the movie Spectre.

In the beginning scene when they celebrated the Day of the Death ☠️ , 007 walked along the streets and up the stairs of this historical hotel “Gran Hotel Cuidad de Mexico” and up the elevator.

The city is vibrant, rich with historic architecture, buildings and heritage.

We also made a trip to Teotihuacan and visited another city Taxco - Capital of Silver….it is beautiful and you can easily mistaken it like European small towns.

Food scene is great with a variety of local cuisine at super affordable price (relatively to US) up to upscale international cuisine that is comparable to anywhere in the world.

Overall this 1st trip was a great experience and vacation. Love it.

With the peso strengthening 15% in just a year against USD, it doesn’t seem matter as things here are still value for the money, again relative to USA.

Cheers and enjoy the virtual tour....warning, lots of photos, 72 of them!
