Hi

regarding the strap, the SM300 165.024  came with either a steel band (7912,1039 or 1506 usually) or a leather strap.  This is confirmed by several extract from archives which I have.

The NATO strap never came with anything, but perhaps in those SM300s bought by the Royal Navy it was the strap of election used when assigned.

Regarding the crown, these models initially used the non-screw crown (so called Naiad) and later, around year 1967 - started using the screw-down crown.  This crown had been specified by the Ministry of Defense for use in the military issued watches (along the fixed lugs, big triangle dial and diamond hands).  And Omega then started using it in all SM300, including the civilian ones.

So, after 1967 most SM300s came out of Bienne with the screw-down crown.

It is also true however, that many of the previous 165.024 fitted with the Naiad, coming back for service, or going to repair for flooding, were also retrofitted with the screw-down crown.
