Friends,
As you know I am really into the Funky Seventies…
One of the Omega watches from that period I have been looking at but never come to own is the Omega Dynamic.
The oval case shape and the typical 70’s design of hands and dial really speak to me!
I still haven’t got one, but a friend of mine got himself a reference 166.089.
An Omega Genève Dynamic Day-Date on leather trap.
The oval case with sloping bezel - really cool!
Love the dial and hands, the big blue sweeping second hand…
Personally I would have preferred a date only but the Day-Date is a nice version as well!
The way to set the Day and Date is to first set the day by setting the time (until you have the correct day).
After that by pulling the crown to the outer position, set the date.
Inside is the automatic movement caliber 752, 24 jewels, beating in a not so common 19800 A/h.

The integrated strap is attached to the watch with a ring on the back.

Strap in place.
Cheery on the cake – another unusual detail, the original pin buckle with two visible sides.
Congrats to my friend, a really nice Funky Seventies find!
Best
