Omega

No

...  it was from jacksonville, is a different watch.

Regarding ignoring serial numbers ... it depends on style of collecting.  Somebody wants a watch with parts (especially the moveemnt) which were originally in that case from beginning, and possibly in excellent to mint conditions.  these are the examples which attract top dollar and top attention.

There are then the Watcho one, made with furniture parts from 2000, and an old movement from a donor.

There is also many around which attract bottom feeders, and have a movement from another watch, dodgy hands or dials, cracked bezels etc.

And then there are the vietnamese fakes, made with fake parts and only the movement(usually froma cheap and battered deVille).

Now, I would say that this one is very close to the top category (if numbers are confrmed at Omega).

Because of this I was commenting that (if confirmed to be coorect) it would be a particular bargain obtained by somebody.

By the way, I seem to understand that it was not bought by the original poster.
