Iif its the watch form NY, it went for 1200 when it was relisted. I wish I had bid!!
To the OP: we certainly missed something, I thought it would go much higher. I payed $1800 for one in mint condition just a few days prior to that auction. You got an incredible deal no matter what. Even if the movement was not original..even if it was the wrong caliber! I wouldn´t worry too much about the serial numbers. Enjoy the watch!

or did you guys?? When these sell way too cheap, it makes me a bit nervous. I suspect maybe the hands have been relumed, or replaced, but the rest looks good to me. Opinions?...

... it went for 1650 USD, which for a 166.024 with reasonable dial, good case and very good bezel is not very much. Hands are either furniture or relumed, bracelet is a 1171 and not a more valuable 1039. Movement dates to 1970, which make sense, and shows...

... it was from jacksonville, is a different watch. Regarding ignoring serial numbers ... it depends on style of collecting. Somebody wants a watch with parts (especially the moveemnt) which were originally in that case from beginning, and possibly in exc...

Watch is from NY and now en route for a service so can't post more pics. But case ref and movement #'s look good to me. And it was $1200.

I understand, but unless you have the original paperwork or you are willing to spend the 70 CHF for the omega database certificate you will never know if that movement was original to the watch. Even if the first two digits match the supposed year of prod...

it would have been nice to see more pics, but the dial looks like an original for that period, the hands are patinated, but look fresher than the dial so are probably replacements. this could mean that its a marriage of available parts, but it could be pe...
