Hi

I never thought about using them for the purpose of navigational timekeepers. In my years of collecting I have not come across and info one way or another that these were used for war ships of WWI. But then again I think most of the "action" in WWI was land fighting. They could have been carried as a standard time source ( more guesses on my part).

I also want to thank you for pointing out the production info for the 21"' movements. I do not have and production data on how many of the other caliber movements were either used in gimbled boxes or how many were made in total. There is always more to research!!
