Hidden Crowns
Nov 28, 2010,05:09 AM
Thanks Erich,
In Desmond Guilfoyle's excellent blogs on Constellations, in the essay called 'A Case Study', Desmond says "New styles featuring round cases with both hidden and non-hidden crowns came out in the date model 561 under the case number 168.004". This implies to me that case ref 168.004 included both hidden and non-hidden crowns. I'd love to see a non-hidden one. I have two of these Constellations, one is a steel 168.004 with hidden crown and the other is an 18ct 'Dennison' cased example with a case ref 168.5004 (hopefully shown below)

Thanks for the info and photos - I have just taken one of the rear of my Dennison cased Constellation which shows the recess where the crown fits. The crown is therefore semi-hidden and not non-hidden and my question is are all non-hidden crown Constellat...
