Omega

Help needed identifying Grandfathers Omega

Hello all,
My Dad was going through his box of childhood treasures, at the bottom of this box was this old Omega his Father received after 25 years service with his then employer. I was wondering if any of the learned Omega purists were able to shed some light on this particular model.
It has a strange almost paper thin band. I don't know what metal it is, looks like brass or copper. Though there is no oxidization as would be expected from something that has sat in a box these last 25 years.
There is no writing on the back of the watch case with the exception of the engraving from his employer.
Please excuse the shoddy photos. I had no camera with me, except for my mobile phone. Is it worth an omega restoration, and do you have any advice on what not to do if i were to have it restored.
Kind regards,
 Pureold.
